George Bernard Shaw once said, “There is no sincerer love than the love of food.”

Food. Such a simple word and yet such a complex one at the same time. The fuel for our bodies, indispensable for life. For most of us, it is seen as joyful, a source of comfort, the epicenter of a meal shared with loved ones. The raw material and basis of cooking and dining can range from the simplest to the most sophisticated culinary art. It’s an endless topic when we start reviewing how food is consumed culturally around the world. For those less fortunate, we should not forget, food can also be a struggle.
