CHICAGO—Mr. Jack Ross and his wife, Melanie, joined the enthusiastic audience attending Shen Yun Performing Arts Thursday evening, April 21, at the Civic Opera House.

“I think it is a wonderful show,” said Mr. Ross, an actuary for a Chicago based company.

He explained that he was drawn not only by the artistry and depth of the performance, but also felt it was educational. “It's very informative. I am just amazed at the history and the dance,” he said.

A performance by Shen Yun is traditional Chinese culture as it was meant to be: a study in grace, wisdom and all the virtues distilled from five millennia of Chinese civilization.

He explained that he enjoyed listening to the emcees introduce each performance and said, “It's very informative and I think I might have picked up one Chinese symbol.”

He summed up his experience seeing Shen Yun for the first time, saying, “It's very nice. I truly enjoyed it.”
