TORONTO—Canadian actress Elva Mai Hoover said she very much enjoyed watching the Shen Yun Performing Arts show at the Canon theatre in Toronto on Friday night.

“It was just very impressive and really very beautiful,” Ms. Hoover said.

Ms. Hoover admired the dazzling colors in Shen Yun and also noted the state of the art animated digital backdrops enhancing the performances with breathtaking scenes throughout the show.

“I loved it; very impressive and the colors make it so beautiful to look at, as well as the special effects.”

Ms. Hoover has played a variety of roles in prominent American and Canadian productions, including Superman II, The Terry Fox Story, and Road to Avonlea.

Shen Yun Performing Arts presents Chinese classical dance, an ancient art-form several millennia old, and has captivated audiences worldwide with its unique performances.

Attending the show with Ms. Hoover was Mr. Malcolm, a stage director.

Mr. Malcolm said the choreography in the show was very good and also found the mixing of Western and Eastern instruments in the Shen Yun orchestra very interesting.

Shen Yun will play three more shows at the Canon, ending its run on Sunday Oct 11.
