YUANLIN, Taiwan—Ms. Zhuo Shiwen, professor of Da-Yeh University, attended the Yuanlin Performance Hall in Changhua County, on the evening of March 25 to see the Shen Yun Performing Arts’ last show in Taiwan. After seeing the performance, she commented, “The magnificence of Chinese culture should be widely promoted, and I am very pleased to watch the show today.”
Talking about the New York-based Shen Yun Performing Arts Company’s 2009 World Tour presenting some 300 shows in four continents, professor Zhuo said that when working on her masters degree in the United States, she felt that foreigners might get more insight into Chinese culture if they could see the wonderful performance of Shen Yun. “In fact, it is worthwhile to appreciate the magnificence of Chinese culture, and it deserves to be further promoted.”
As she was really touched by the piece The Poet’s Vision, and felt like she was personally in the scene of the poem, she said, “The overall performance was really very beautiful, and it had abundant implications.”
Fascinated by the perfect coordination of the colors of costumes, she said, “They were very peaceful, very wonderful and unique. Beautiful things deserve to be appreciated and promoted.”
