If you’re a fan of chocolate mousse but aren’t a fan of the calories, here is a great alternative recipe that is super easy and can be made in 5 minutes. The trick is all in the secret ingredient that makes this dessert classic, tasty and guilt-free.

Ingredients:

4 hass avocados

1/4 cup coconut oil

1 tsp of soy sauce

1 tbsp of balsamic vinegar

1/2 cup of agave  (sweetness without the sugar)

1/2 cup of cocoa powder (it has less calories than sugar)

1 tbsp vanilla extract

Raspberries for garnish

Method:

1. First split the avocado into half and then strike the pit with a knife. The pit sticks to the knife and comes out easily. Use a spoon to get the flesh of the avocado  skin and place it in a bowl. Avocados are used as an alternative for the heavy cream, which is usually used to give the nice creamy consistency that is used in a typical chocolate mousse. They are also a healthy option and give the same creamy consistency.

2. Next, put the avocados in a food processor and add balsamic vinegar, soy sauce, vanilla extract, coconut oil, and  agave.

3. Then, add chocolate powder as it has much lesser calories than chocolate chips to the food processor. Blend everything together.

4. Once everything is blended, put it in a desired glass or dish and add raspberries to give it a fresh look and taste.
