Professor Sees Shen Yun as a Bridge to Understanding
Franco Bassoriello and his wife, Silvia Wachter, enjoyed the Shen Yun performance at the Four Seasons Centre for the Performing Arts in Toronto on Jan. 6, 2018. “It’s so graceful and yet dignified and exuberant at the same time,” Ms. Wachter said. “We’ve been to a lot of shows ... but as soon as you leave, the feelings leave you. I think with this one, it will stay with you a little longer. It’s something that you can think back on and remember the feeling it gave you.” (Dongyu Teng/The Epoch Times)

“The costumes are really intricate. We have good seats, so we have a good sightline. They’re absolutely beautiful!”

“The spirituality part of it ... was absolutely wonderful too. It’s a universal thing. It goes beyond just one culture, one thought. It’s not one or two people—it’s worldwide. It is all-encompassing. It’s a bridge to understanding. ... It’s something to bring people together versus to separate them.”

“[Chinese culture] is ancient. You can see that there’s a lot of history, compared to here, North America—years and years of history. Amazing!”
