The month is rife with Oktoberfest celebrations. Beside the festivities at beer gardens and bars, here are two more noteworthy ways to drink (and eat) to Oktoberfest.

Lobster is thrown into the mix at the pop-up Craft & Claw, in Hudson New York Hotel’s private park. There, local craft beers and lobster and crab rolls are in the spotlight. Guests can munch on Lobster Three Ways (classic herb mayo; sriracha bahn mi; and corn and miso butter lobster rolls); Crab Rolls (with yuzu mayo or fennel orange); or snacks of North Fork Old Bay Chips and Bavarian Pretzels with Warm Beer-Cheese Sauce.

Drinks include beer cocktails (for example, Lobster Bloody Mary with KelSo Pilsner, McClure’s Brooklyn Bloody Mix, housemade lobster tarragon stock, lemon, and fresh lobster garnish) and a signature Oktoberfest draft beer brewed exclusively by New York’s Kelso Brewery.

Craft & Claw runs Wednesday through Saturday, 5 p.m. to midnight, to the end of October.

A Lobstoberfest will be a part of the festivities on Oct. 11, with live performances, all-you-can-eat lobster roll, and beer tastings. (Craft & Claw, at Hudson New York, 356 W. 58th St.)

The 9th Annual Shacktoberfest will take place Oct. 3 through Oct. 12. Some of this year’s offerings, to be paired with ShackMeister Ale, include: Brat Burger, Currywurst, Bavarian Brat, Bacon Cheddar Brat, Apfelstrudel Shake, and a German Chocolate Walnut Concrete.

Shacktoberfest runs at all U.S. locations, with the exception of ballparks and airports.
