Cindy Frost is living the dream. She has a beautiful house in Mentor-On-The-Lake, right by Lake Erie, and wandering on her beautiful lawn is a beautiful doe with a cute fawn.

That’s the first impression. But this presumably romantic scene has turned into a drama where Frost fears leaving her home.

Far from being an elusive, timid creature, the doe is a menace. Last year it stomped on and injured her neighbor’s Golden Retriever, Fox 8 reported.

And now, apparently, the doe has it in for Frost.

On June 2, Frost was about to walk her dogs when the doe approached, reared up, and ran after her.

Frost sought cover behind her car and tried to zigzag away, but the deer wouldn’t let up.

“She came right after me,” Frost said. “What saved me was my blacktop. She couldn’t get her grip, that’s the only thing that saved me.”

Does can be protective of their young, but Frost said the deer behaves aggressively towards her even when she’s nowhere near the fawn.

“I feel like I’m a prisoner,” she said. “I can’t take my dogs out for a walk; I can’t even walk down to the end of my property, and when I go to my car I’m looking all around.”

Frost contacted authorities about the issue and was left with two options—either wait it out, hoping it will leave in a few weeks, or ask the authorities to euthanize the animals.

The latter is not an option for Frost.

“I don’t want that; I’m an animal lover,” she said.

For now, she just warns people to steer clear of the deer.
