A jeweler in India’s western Ahmedabad city has become an inspiration for many animal lovers with his act of regularly feeding over 500 langurs, whom he calls his family.

The langurs that otherwise prefer to maintain a distance from humans, have also found a friend in Swapnil Soni as they wait for their turn to be fed and do not harm Soni or his family.

It all started 10 years back when Soni saw a man feeding monkeys, which motivated him to do the same and since then nothing has stopped him from feeding the langurs, not even a financial crisis in the family, six months ago.

Soni who owes his popularity and success to the langurs appeals to people to come and feed them so that they do not remain hungry.
