How to Make: Pumpkin Spiced Cronuts

A delicious “cronut” flavored with pumpkin spice, is the perfect snack for the season of fall.

A delicious “cronut” flavored with pumpkin spice, is the perfect snack for the season of fall. 

Ingredients : 

Dough:

  • 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup warm milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tbs yeast
  • 3 tsp salt
  • 1 tbs vanilla extract
  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 qt of canola oil for frying

Glaze:

  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 2 tbp milk
  • 1 tbp dark rum
  • 2 tbs maple syrup
  • 1 tsp ground clove
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground allspice
  • 1 tsp ground ginger

Sugar coating:

  • 1 tsp ground clove
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1 tsp ground allspice
  • 1 tsp ground ginger
  • 1 cup granulated sugar

Method: 

1. In a bowl start by mixing some ground cinnamon, all spice clove, and ginger. Then, divide this equally between two bowls.

2.  Once you have your pumpkin spice mix ready, add some granulated sugar to one of the bowls, and mix until the sugar and spices are completely bended. 

3. In another bowl add some powdered sugar, dark rum, some maple syrup, and milk whisk until completely smooth. This is going to be your delicious pumpkin spice glaze. 

4. Next pull out your dough from the fridge, and roll it into a rectangular shape of 12 x 18 inches thick. You can use some pastry cutters to get the perfect donut shape. 

5. Once your done punching out your cronuts, fry them in canola oil or any other flavorless oil at 335 degree fahrenheit. Fry them until golden brown.

6.  Once your done frying the donuts, allow it to cool for about five minutes.

7. Once the donuts are cooled down, coat the outer edges with your spice sugar mix.

8. Finally,  generously top them with your pumpkin spice mix.
