This sweet snowman is fast, easy,  and is sure to bring joy to your table. You can make it with your family this holiday season.

Ingredients:

  • 8 oz butter (2 sticks)
  • 24 oz marshmallows
  • 16 cups rice crisp cereal
  • melted chocolate
  • 5 chocolate chips
  • one sheet of coloured fondant
  • 1 chocolate brownie
  • 1 dried apricot
  • wooden skewers or sturdy straws

Method:

1. Melt and mix:
Melt butter and marshmallows and mix together with cereal. Form into three firm balls: small, medium and large. Flatten the bottom of the smallest and biggest balls, and the top and bottom of the medium ball.

2. Assemble the snowman:
Use wooden skewers to stack the balls from largest to smallest.

3. Dress him up:
Slice a ribbon of fondant and fringe the ends to form a scarf. Carefully drape around snowman’s neck. Place melted chocolate in an icing bag or self-sealing bag with a tiny corner snipped off, and use the chocolate to adhere the chocolate chip buttons and eyes. Pipe dots of melted chocolate to form a smile. Slice a sliver of dried apricot for the nose. Cut one small and one medium circle from the brownie and glue together with melted chocolate. Wrap a small ribbon of fondant around the hat and adhere the hat with melted chocolate.
