DETROIT—The Chinese New Year Spectacular is a world class show featuring Chinese classical dance, opera, a live orchestra, and the world’s largest interactive background. It was ranked 7th on Billboard Magazine’s live shows in Feb. 2007 and the show continues to visit more cities and countries each year. We asked various audience members at a show in Dearborn, MI at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center what they thought of the performance.

Carolyn, a student, said that the show was, “Amazing, very fantastic.” Her husband Michael, an engineer said that, “I loved the acrobatics.” Interestingly enough, they both said that, “There was a divine message... a message of hope.”

Both of them mentioned that they really enjoyed the program “Persecuted on a Sacred Path.” In it, a Falun Gong practitioner is persecuted to death in China for practicing Falun Gong.

John, who works in insurance claims said that, “There was a mix of Classical and Western music which I really enjoyed.” John’s wife, Susan, had only one word to describe the show, “Wonderful!”

Sandy, a special education teacher also said that the show was, “Wonderful!” She also said that, “Everything was so gentle and they make it look so easy.”

Cole Young, an attorney said that, “It was very soothing.”

Erin, a social worker said, “It is excellent!”

Jeanette Lansy, an Assistant Principle, noted that, “I loved the drummers and the Soprano opera singer.”
