“Like poetry in motion,” was how veteran classical Indian dancer Vaishali Chaudhuri described the Shen Yun Performing Arts show she had just seen at the Radio City Music Hall on Saturday evening, Feb. 20.

The Chinese New Year Spectacular is a world class show featuring Chinese classical dance, opera, a live orchestra, and the world’s largest interactive background.

Eighty cities, four continents, three dance companies, one incredible show; Divine Performing Arts Chinese New Year Spectacular promotes authentic Chinese culture, ancient myths, legends, and principles.

Last year Divine Performing Arts’ Chinese New Year Spectacular came to Michigan for a one-night performance. This year the show is back for a two-day, two-show extravaganza on December 30th & 31st at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center.

Divine Performing Arts is back in town with the now world-famous Chinese New Year Spectacular. After an almost sold-out show last year, Divine Performing Arts decided to add a second performance to their stop in the Greater Detroit Area this year.

Mr. Dean Petkanas, CEO of a beverage company, had this to say about the DPA show that he saw on August 24: “Unbelievable.”

The Chinese Spectacular was enjoyed by Chinese and Westerners alike. People came from as far away as India for this show.

On Sunday evening, August 10, Divine Performing Arts performed The Chinese Spectacular before a nearly sold out crowd at the State Theatre in New Brunswick, NJ.
