TAINAN, Taiwan—The president of the Tainan Enterprise Culture and Arts Foundation, Mr. Ye Chongli along with his son, who is a junior of a senior high school, were among the audience in the Tainan Cultural Center enjoying the Divine Performing Arts’ (DPA) third show. After the show he said that he had heard that the DPA show was magnificent long ago, but didn’t have the opportunity to see it. So he especially made the effort to be at the show today.

Mr. Ye spoke to The Epoch Times reporter during the intermission, “In the show, I saw the value of ‘succinctness.’ The dancers’ basic skills of jumping were exceptionally good. The classic dance of the Flowing Sleeves and the Dance of the Snow-Capped Mountain were excellent. I felt that all the performers were very professional. I enjoyed it very much.”

He also told our reporter that he went to the Cultural Center very often to see various performances about music, dance and drama, and he often learnt something new from them. “Talking about DPA’s dancing skills, I like its succinct style. To combine classic dance with modern technology is not something that people could view thousands years ago. There are many creative ideas in the designs of the costumes, in particular, the colors are very crisp, which are very different from the deep red color I saw in Shanghai” said Mr.Ye.

Ye added that DPA’s choreography is excellent, as it exquisitely merged the basic value and values advocated by Falun Gong into the dance. We could feel the choreographers’ exceptionally good talent. He praised the show as “a great artistic achievement.”

He especially mentioned, “When seeing the dance of Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution, I was deeply moved. Seeing how the Falun Gong practitioners steadfastly sticking to their belief while they were under persecution, my heart was deeply touched.”

“In terms of the Chinese Communist regime’s persecution against Falun Gong in China, I also have ... feeling, though I am in Taiwan ... In Taiwan, we are very lucky, as we have freedom to choose our own religion or belief. However, various religions are apparently persecuted in China. We should strive for our most basic human right, that is, the freedom of belief.”
