TAIPEI, Taiwan—Taiwan’s passion for Shen Yun Performing Arts created an artistic phenomenon with tickets to all shows sold out. Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company has returned to Taipei to perform three additional shows from April 19 to April 21.

At the performance on April 19, many prominent people took the opportunity to see Shen Yun. Among them was Mr. Pradeep Kumar Rawat, Director General of India-Taipei Association. After attending the show, he said, “Very very impressive. It’s a very creative combination of live music, stage performance and digital technology.”

After seeing the show illustrating the essence of the 5,000-year Chinese culture, Mr. Rawat stated that though he was a foreigner, he was somewhat familiar with Chinese legends. He explained, “[Some of the legends] came from Buddhism, and Buddhism came from India. They are very similar, as we also find them in India. Some of the stories, like The Journey to the West, are connected with India ... So many things were familiar to me in this performance.”

Director General Rawat highly praised the brilliant colors of the costumes. He noted, “I think the Tang costumes were very traditional and beautiful.”
