STOCKHOLM, Sweden—At a reception after Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company presented classical Chinese dance and music, Custom Glass Designer Karin Hammar said it was her first encounter with a show of this calibre.

Ms. Hammar is an artist in the field of Scandinavian glass craftsmanship. She belongs to the third generation of a family of custom glass creators. She has the impression “the artists are dedicated to their arts and have put enormous efforts and enthusiasm in their undertaking.”

Although the show exhibited something different from the life and culture she is familiar with, Ms. Hammar said she had learned that “soul and heart” are vital ingredients of any accomplishment.

Shen Yun Performing Arts is a dance and music ensemble that endeavors to revive China´s genuine culture. According to Shen Yun, China was once called the land of the divine—a land where arts and culture are so brilliant that they can only be bestowed by the heavens. In order to be worthy of such a gift, the people strive to live with higher principles.

Shen Yun, based in New York, have enchanted audiences all over the world.

Bjarne Nyroos, chief of a large international company, saw the show last year in Linköping, another city in Sweden. This year he traveled to Stockholm to enjoy a completely new performance.

Bjarne thought there is a brilliant director who makes this show possible and the artists have diligently brought the show to Europe.
