BOSTON—Mrs. Robinson, who attended the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) 2009 World Tour performance at the Boston Opera House on Sunday, has been in dance for most of her professional life and is now a dance teacher.

She said the DPA dancers must be very “well rounded” to be able to perform so well.

“It was very inspirational. It was elegant, they were very poised. They made you feel a lot of emotions,” Mrs. Robinson said, naming the performance, Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution as an example.

“I felt like I was getting teary eyes.”

“Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution” tells the tale of a father who is persecuted for practicing Falun Gong. The fantastic scenes that ultimately unfold in this piece present a message of hope and bespeak of a longstanding Chinese belief that good people are ultimately rewarded, even if not in this lifetime.

She added that she also “loved” the costumes, which she said matched the dance routines.

Her husband, Mr. Robinson, was impressed by the show’s state-of-the-art animated digital backdrop, which he said enhanced the dances and was “really interesting.”

He said that all aspects of the show blended very well together. “The whole thing was just lovely together, I loved it.”
