Charlie Palmer Steak Opens in Midtown East

Charlie Palmer opened a steakhouse in Midtown East this week, in a setting with a traditional-meets-modern aesthetic, where dark woods and leathers are juxtaposed with stainless steel mesh, glass, and iridescent color nuances.

Dishes include Steak House Caesar, Lobster Corn Chowder, and Crispy Fried Shrimp with rémoulade for appetizers (first course, $14–38). Among the steaks and chops ($45–$105), are A5 Kobe Strip Steak, Imperial Top Sirloin, Berkshire Pork Chops, and Colorado Lamb Chops, besides standard cuts such as N.Y. strip and filet mignon.
