Tickets are now on sale for the fourth annual SF Cheese Fest, held on Sept. 15–16 at Social Hall SF and The Cheese School of San Francisco. The theme is “4 x 4,” a tribute to both the fourth anniversary and the four types of milk—cow, goat, sheep, and water buffalo—California is known for.

“This year’s theme is a testament to the active and growing interest in small-batch, handcrafted cheese produced here in California,” said Jill Giacomini Basch of Point Reyes Farmstead Cheese Company, in a press release.

The celebration will kick off on Sept. 15, with a tasting featuring over 20 California Artisan Cheese Guild-member cheesemakers from across the state. Samples will be paired with local sips and bites, including a Raclette station. On Sept. 16, the Cheese School of San Francisco will hold a series of educational seminars, with additional tickets for purchase.

This year’s participating cheesemakers include first-timer Di Stefano Cheese; pioneers Bellwether Farms and Cowgirl Creamery; and local favorites Achadinha Cheese and Tomales Farmstead Creamery.

Tickets are $84 per person, with limited “Bring a Friend” tickets for two available for $149. Buy online at SFCheeseFest.com.
