Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro and his wife are on a warship heading to New York after the ‘large-scale’ strike.

Four charges were filed against the Venezuelan leader, and his wife faces three.

‘We want peace, liberty, and justice for the great people of Venezuela,’ the U.S. president said.

The Venezuelan leader was captured from the Fort Tiuna military complex in Caracas, according to a member of his ruling party.

‘The EU has repeatedly stated that Mr Maduro lacks legitimacy and has defended a peaceful transition,’ EU foreign policy chief said.

The indictment comes hours after their capture and extraction by U.S. armed forces in Caracas in the early hours of Jan. 3.

Maduro and his wife are en route to New York where they face an indictment on narco-terrorism conspiracy charges.

The U.S. Southern Command said its forces conducted kinetic strikes against a convoy of three ‘narco-trafficking vessels’ in the Pacific on Dec. 30.

The quake in the state of Guerrero was felt in Mexico City, Acapulco, and other metropolitan areas.

Venezuela’s president declined to comment on last week’s alleged strike on a docking area used by cartels in the South American country.

China has the world’s largest distant-water fishing fleet, engaging in poaching and intelligence gathering in other countries’ sovereign waters, said analysts.

The tanker has remained at large since the U.S. Coast Guard first attempted to board it on Dec. 21.

These latest sanctions actions are part of a multifaceted pressure campaign against Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro over drug trafficking.

To date, the death toll from such strikes targeting narco-traffickers is at least 110 since September.

Iran continues to violate U.N. restrictions, according to U.S. officials.

The non-ballistic missiles were flown ahead of a congress at which the communist regime will consider whether to resume nuclear diplomacy talks with Washington.
