World War II on film usually takes viewers to Normandy, Pearl Harbor, or some island battle where the Marines storm the beach. The Burmese campaign? Not so much. Despite being a key front in the Pacific, it’s been largely overlooked by filmmakers. This is odd, since the Allies actually pulled off a win there, although not initially. You’d think American studios would want to show off more of this victorious campaign.
