Australia is very well known for its surf culture and even more so now with Australian Joel Parkinson coming out as this seasons ASP (Association of Surfing Professionals) World Champion. But this summer there is another kind of board making waves in Western Australia.

The YMCA (Young Men’s Christian Association) is playing host to a state wide summer skate series.  With 12 qualifying rounds and a state final, it is one of Perth’s most wide spread skate competitions. The opening round was held on December 4th in Nedlands, Western Australia. YMCA Perth, WA.
