Here’s how it works: Take a large spoonful of marshmallow fluff and slather it along the inside of your drinking glass. Fill the glass with ice (optional, if you want it super cold) then pour in your Coca-Cola.
My Honest Review
For someone who isn’t normally a fan of regular Coca-Cola (I’m a Diet Coke girl all the way), I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this. It has the same exact taste I would expect from an ice cream soda, with creamy floating bits of fluff that I could dig out with a spoon. The texture of the Coke ends up getting rather creamy, while still remaining bubbly and fizzy from the soda. It was sweet and refreshing, the perfect afternoon pick-me-up beverage on a hot summer day.My only critique for this drink was smearing fluff around the edges of this cup. When you add the ice in, the fluff will freeze, making it difficult to stir into the soda when you first pour it. While it does melt over time and make the soda creamier (especially if it’s hot out), it takes some time. I had to scrape the sides with a spoon and really stir it in order to get that ice cream soda-like texture that I craved with this fluffy Coke.
Tips for Making Fluffy Coke
- Try different soda flavors. While this recipe was intended to be used with a Coca-Cola, I couldn’t help but imagine what this would be like with other soda flavors. Root beer? Orange soda? Cream soda? I think there are a lot of fun possibilities here that you can attempt.
- Flavor the drink. Want to add more flavors to your fluffy Coke? Add a teaspoon of a flavored syrup, like vanilla or cherry.
- Add a cold foam top. Some videos of this viral recipe show people adding a cold foam top to their sodas to make the fluffy
- Coke even frothier. Add cold heavy cream and your flavored syrup to a cup and use a handheld frother until it foams up, then pour it on top of your fluffy Coke before sipping away.
