Children can often feel as if they are too little to accomplish anything. The Brothers Grimm show that size does not matter in their fairy tale “The Valiant Little Tailor,” for someone very small can be extremely witty and brave.

Though He Be Little

After buying some jam from a woman one day, a little tailor spreads the jam on a thick piece of bread. But, before he eats, he decides to finish sewing a jacket.

Flies begin swooping down from the ceiling to taste the sweet food. Irritated with their incessant arrival, the tailor takes a cloth out and swings at them, killing seven with one blow.
