Texas Teen Who Stands at 6 Feet 10 Inches Tall Breaks Two World Records for Longest Legs

A Texas teen who towers over her peers at 6 feet, 10 inches tall has claimed two Guinness World Records: one for having the longest legs for a female, and another for being the teenager with the longest legs.

Meet Maci Currin, from Cedar Park, Texas, who was recognized as a Guinness World Record holder early this month. Her left leg measures 53.2 inches long and her right leg is a bit shorter, measuring 52.8 inches. Her legs themselves comprise 60 percent of her total height.

The towering 17-year-old measured 19 inches at birth, an average measurement, but her exceptional height became apparent as early as elementary school. She was already 5 feet, 7 inches at the age of 9.

Currin has inherited all the tall genes from her family; her mother, Trish, stands at an above-average height of 5 feet 7 inches tall, her father is 6 feet 5 inches, and her brother, Jacob, is 6 feet 4 inches. However, she says that it’s not all fun being a record holder.

“They don’t really make clothes in my size,” Currin explained in a video for Guinness World Record. “I have to get them custom-made.”

Additionally, the tall teen says she often hits her head while walking through doors; and sometimes in certain cars, she tends not to be able to fit in as her legs are too long for them.

“People always tend to look at her and stare at her,” added Currin’s mom. Another challenge is that most people tend to mistake Currin’s age due to her height.

However, on the flip side, Currin has found that her height is a huge advantage while playing for her high school volleyball team. Trish is proud of her daughter, hoping that she will be recognized both for her height and for her beauty.
