DETROIT—“The show emits energy and I feel it,” said the owner of a construction company at the Divine Performing Arts 2009 World Tour show held at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center in Detroit.

The inspector of plumbing, electrical, and mechanical equipment, named Phil, said he “absolutely loved the show.”

“The color, the energy, the dancers and the music ... the first picture, the backdrop you had, with the plum trees in full blossom—the purple plum trees—and the lake and the bridge, it was very beautiful. And the music was very enticing, the dancers very good. It was a very good performance.”

Phil, a practitioner of martial arts, said he was sitting “way up at the top” yet he still felt an energy coming from the stage.

“I liked the energy; I liked the way it was put together. It was a very good show. I liked them all, no particular one.”

Phil said, “I love martial arts, I love karate. I’ve been doing it for many, many years. … I felt a lot of energy flowing.”
