Life is riddled with difficult decisions and the agonizing pangs that result from them can be unbearable. Yet difficult decisions often prove far more worthy and noble than comfortable options.

In her short story “A Strayed Allegiance,” L.M. Montgomery tackles this as a young man must choose between two women. He must decide whether to remain loyal to one woman or choose the woman he truly loves.
