John’s Pizzeria was one of the restaurants chosen to serve some of the top culinary talent in the world, the finalists of the Specialty Food Association’s sofi Awards, at New York City’s Javits Center earlier this month. The Epoch Times visited John’s Pizzeria and asked the restaurant to recreate what its chef served.
Johns Pizzeria near Times Square, located in a building that was once a church, has the unique distinction of being the largest pizzeria in the country. Instead of carting its signature brick oven to the sofis to serve the award-winners (wink, wink), John’s opted to serve an alternate classic Italian dish: Bruschetta.
