A: Lots of instant hot unit fans asked me the same question. In all fairness, my beverage faucet suggestion can include the instant hot category since some beverage faucets have instant hot upgrades.
But like filtered beverage faucet water, I should have made that clearer. To make up for this I'll be happy to share some excerpts from another article I did exclusively on instant hot units, so enjoy:
Instant hot (or piping-hot) units are small, powerful point-of-use electric water heaters that connect under a kitchen sink, with a dedicated tap installed in an open sink hole.
The small thermally insulated tank with powerful electrical elements keeps about two cups of very hot water available for use at all times. Beside tea, you can make instant treats like hot chocolate, soups and oatmeal.
Instant hot units should be installed by a licensed plumber according to local codes with any permits needed. With all that information, instant hot fans should no longer be boiling mad over my beverage faucet recommendation!
