Though he rarely gets close to achieving mainstream notice, writer-director (also sometimes composer, editor, and producer) Jim Jarmusch has slowly but steadily released 14 features over the last five decades. The closest he’s gotten to a box office hit was “The Dead Don’t Die,” a zombie comedy starring Bill Murray.
