TAINAN, Taiwan—On February 20, in the ‘cultural capital’ of Taiwan, Divine Performing Arts (DPA) International Company staged its Taiwan premiere at Tainan Municipal Cultural Center.

“This is an arts performance of both singing and dancing. Whether colors, costumes or overall production, they are all pleasing to the eyes and heart and memorable,” said Ms. Su, a fashion design teacher, upon watching the show.

DPA’s Westerner master of ceremonies and Chinese mistress of ceremonies introduced many characteristics of Chinese classical dance. Ms. Su thinks it’s unique to have a pair of MCs from different ethnicities.

“Their introductions improved my understanding of the programs. I really like how they also added some Taiwanese flavors to their conversations.

“Also I think the performers are extremely devoted. The dances are absolutely beautiful. I am very grateful for this.”

DPA’s “optimistic and enterprising spirit” left a deep impression on her. “We want to send our best wishes to DPA. It is already very brilliant and first-class. That’s the way it is.”
