NEW YORK—The Divine Performing Arts’ Chinese New Year Splendor gave two life-long friends and successful businessmen something to remember.

Mr. De Cordova, who co-founded a successful advertising company with billions of dollars in capital under management, said it was his first time to see the show and he enjoyed it immensely.

Mr. De Cordova also co-founded a national art trust and advises a national non-profit organization that works to increase the political influence of American Latino’s.

“I thought the ending was amazing.”

That dance, Knowing the True Picture Offers Ultimate Hope, depicts the cosmic and the earthly merging in a powerful image of renewal, a theme first explored in the opening dance of the show. It carries the message that a glorious culture of antiquity was brought by higher lives and meant to sustain the moral integrity of humankind.

“I thought that was a really great,” he said.

While it is in classical Chinese dance that the artists of Divine Performing Arts have their foundational training, the company’s performances include as well Chinese ethnic and folk dance, making for an utterly unique vision of Chinese traditional culture that is at once both faithful and innovative.

“Overall, it was a great production and I think it was really well put together,” said Mr. De Cordova.

“I think it’s a show that people need to know that exists, and it’s a great show and something that more people should come and see.”

Mr. De Cordova’s lifelong friend, Mr. Chen, a businessman originally from China, heartily agreed.

“The music was good, the overall production value was very very high,” said Mr. Chen.

He said he couldn’t pick a favorite performance because “everything was very good.”

Mr. Chen said he usually attends more “modern” shows that include pop music but he very much enjoyed the Splendor.

“I understand and appreciate some of the things that this show is trying to communicate, so I do value those insights,” he said.

The guiding mission of Divine Performing Arts is to rediscover and renew humanity’s true, rightful cultural heritage. The company thus creates and performs works that center upon the true, divinely bestowed culture of humankind, and seeks to provide an experience of consummate beauty and goodness.

“All very impressive I have to say,” concluded Mr. Chen.

Divine Performing Arts finished its run at Radio City on Sunday night and is now continuing on with its world tour. There are currently three Divine Performing Arts companies touring the world.
