HIROSHIMA, Japan—Putting on two shows at its third stop in Japan on Feb. 15, Divine Performing Arts (DPA) International Company enthralled Susumu Watanabe, a city government member, and his wife.

“Before, I did not know much about the five thousand years of divinely-imparted culture, yet upon watching DPA, the scenes on the backdrops gave me a very intuitive feeling [about the culture]. It’s very nice.

“The performers are great. There are so many spins that are steady yet beautiful, seeing it makes me so happy.”

“And those stories—they are very wonderful! It’s simple and easy to understand, but they are also extremely touching,” said Mrs. Watanabe.

“The program, Heaven Awaits Us Despite Persecution, allowed me to witness a Falun Dafa practitioner who had been persecuted to death [in China] and went up to the Heaven. It made me realize that death is not that scary.”

Mr. Watanabe also found the music to be very deep.

“The songs are magnificent. Although I cannot fully understand the meaning of the lyrics, the singing emitted very strong energy, and I absolutely could feel it.”
