The director of a Montana animal shelter got a call before sunrise about an injured dog from an Indian reservation. The poor animal had been shot in the neck with an arrow, nearly hitting his spine. The pooch was lucky to be alive.
Anita Wilke, director of a non-profit called RezQ Dogs near Dodson, got a call in the early morning hours in September 2019, and an associate of hers, with help from members of the Rocky Boy Indian Community, were able to locate and rescue the dog to safety.
