Mrs. Meeker

One fine day, Dr. Leslie sets out to pay a visit to the old sailor Capt. Finch. Unable to sail anymore and landlocked with land folk, Capt. Finch appreciates a good listener.

Along the way, Dr. Leslie passes by Mrs. Meeker’s house. Mrs. Meeker always watches for passersby who might have news or a piece of gossip. So, seeing Dr. Leslie coming up the road at a leisurely pace, Mrs. Meeker can’t pass up an opportunity to talk.
