Il Mulino team’s more casual restaurant, Il Mulino Trattoria, launched brunch last weekend.

Among the highlights is a not-too-sweet Burrata French Toast ($19). When cut open, the creamy heart of the burrata cheese oozes over the French toast and fresh berries.

Among the savory dishes, the Meatball Benedict, poached eggs with ricotta and tomato sauce ($17) are delicious, though not enough if you come with a big appetite. Maybe try instead the Hangover Pizza with bacon, egg, and cheese white pizza ($19).

A nice option for the thirsty guest is the two-hour unlimited drink special with Barkeep’s Punch. For brunch classics and Peroni, it’s an additional $25. Other cocktails include: Limoncello Corpse Reviver with Half Moon gin, Arvero limoncello, Cocchi Americano, and fresh lemon; and a Bloody Margherita with 6100 vodka, candolini grappa, spicy San Marzano tomatoes, basil, and pickled grapes.
