Wendy’s photo: There have been a number of viral photos recently of fast-food workers doing gross things to food. And now Wendy’s is apart of that phenomenon.
A photo surfaced this week of a Wendy’s employee licking a Frosty machine. The photo shows the worker opening his mouth wide under the machine as the ice cream pours into his mouth.
“I was going to buy a frosty from Wendys until I saw the employee do this,” wrote the Reddit user who posted the photo first.
It appears that the person who took the photo was behind the counter, as other Reddit users pointed out. “Looks like someone else in food service is about to get fired,” said one Redditor.
Weeks ago, a Taco Bell employee was photographed licking around a dozen tacos.
A spokesperson with Wendy’s told the New York Daily News that the worker was fired.
“We don’t know the exact date the photo was taken, but we believe in it was in May,” spokesman Bob Bertini said. “The incident was totally inappropriate, and we’re taking it very seriously.”
