U2 performed “Boy Falls From the Sky” from the new Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark, in Portugal last weekend, and a Youtube video of the act has gone viral on the internet.
Bono and crew performed the song on Sunday at Estadio Cidade de Coimbra in front of more than 50,000 people as part of their 360 Tour.
It was the first time U2 had performed the song in public, and the song’s score was written by Bono and guitarist The Edge, according to Playbill.com.
The Spider-Man musical that uses the song will star Reeve Carney, and will be directed by Tony Award winner Julie Taymor.
Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark will begin its run on Broadway in December.
