CHICAGO—Mr. Zdmaya, manager of a local Television Station in Chicago that has screened many Chinese programs for over 30 years, was grateful to be amongst the audience for the Divine Performing Arts (DPA) New York Company show at the Civic Opera House in Chicago on Saturday night, Dec. 27.

Mr. Zdmaya has been very involved with the Chinese media, and is proud that his station can serve the Chinese community the way they have for many years. He says, “It’s a wonderful community.”

Mr. Zdmaya has seen many Chinese performances over the years but none as beautiful that the DPA performance. He said, “Today’s show is absolutely ... I’ve gone to, over the years, many, many Chinese-American functions, and this by far is so unique! Everything was in sync with each other. The amount of rehearsal and the colorful costumes is absolutely amazing.

“This is so wonderful. … More people need to know about this. … The whole city would be so proud to have such a wonderful event like this. I am very excited! I can’t wait for the second half to begin.”

Mr. Zdmaya thoroughly enjoyed every part of the performances. When talking about the orchestra he said, “I was so impressed with the orchestra, how they were totally in line with all the movements and all the different dances and creations. It was just amazing how everything was in sync with the whole performance overall. Wonderful orchestra, I was totally impressed with that.”

Mr. Zdmaya felt that the inner meanings in many of the performances added to the overall portrayal in the performances and has a calming effect on the audience members’ lives. He said: “Well, I think that this warms everybody’s heart, and the wisdom that is portrayed in their acts and the wording on the screen makes you think more about life and the important things of life and being at peace with yourself. I just think it’s wonderful because everybody, a lot of the Americans in Chicago are always running here, running there, not having a chance to think and be peaceful with themselves, and this is a chance to for them to do.”
