BOSTON—Mary Willet said she came to see Shen Yun Performing Arts New York Company “to see the show, the culture … the majesty of it all.” She, along with her daughter’s piano teacher, Shu Hui, attended the performance at Citi Performing Arts’ Wang Theatre on Sunday, Feb. 13.

Ms. Willet, a teacher at Carver High School, added, “Just the magnitude of it all, the brilliance of the colors, the sounds, the expression—it was just beautiful!”

Shen Yun exhibits extraordinary and fresh performances of classical Chinese dance and music. The performance illuminates traditional Chinese culture as it once was: a study in grace, wisdom, and the virtues distilled from the five millennia of Chinese civilization.

Ms. Hui, who is from Taiwan, also enjoyed the show, saying, “Oh, I loved it very much, very nice. Great music.”

She also confirmed that, “My family has heard about the show. They’re looking forward to going to the show.”

Shen Yun Performing Arts will be performing in Taiwan from March 12 to April 15, 2011.

With three companies on tour simultaneously, Shen Yun will round out the month with performances in five more U.S. cities as well as Sydney, Australia, and Frankfurt, Germany. For more information, please visit ShenYunPerformingArts.org
