KAOHSIUNG, Taiwan—Lu Jibao, chairman of Pingtung County Jiuru Township Association for Education, and principal of Ligang Primary School, attended Shen Yun Performing Arts International Company’s show in Kaohsiung at the National Sun Yat-Sen University on April 9, together with his family. Mr. Lu is also the coordinator of the project established for the promotion of Taiwanese language at junior high and primary schools in Pingtung County. He has seen Shen Yun previously on twice occasions.
Mr. Lu lauded Shen Yun’s performance saying it was marvelous. He enjoyed the many aspects of the show, including the story-based dance and folk tales, the elaborate hand-made costumes, the solo vocal performances, and the animated hi-tech backdrops.
He said, “Shen Yun perfectly blended the characteristics of various Chinese ethnic groups into the show, and presented an all-new program in a relaxing, entertaining, and humorous manner.
“Shen Yun’s dances displayed Chinese culture’s intriguing, amusing and joyful ambiance, as we have seen in the programs Herding On The Grasslands, My Beloved Yi Village and Little Mischievous Monks. Even the graceful piece Manchurian Elegance, even though elegant, also has a touch of humor, which made us smile.”
Mr. Lu described the costumes as “glorious, eye-catching, harmonious, and beautiful.”
He especially appreciated renowned tenor Guan Guimin, saying, “His voice is very pleasant to hear.”
