2009 NTDTV International Classical Chinese Dance Competition ()
The Third International Classical Chinese Dance Competition sponsored by New Tang Dynasty TV (NTDTV) will be held at the Tribeca Performing Arts Center, New York, NY from June 19 to 21. Observer tickets for the Semi-Finals and Finals, as well as a special performance by Shen Yun Performing Arts after the competition and the awarding ceremony, are on sale now.

The International Classical Chinese Dance Competition is one of the international cultural and artistic competitions held by NTDTV. The event will be broadcasted worldwide via NTDTV. The mission of the competition is to launch a new era in Chinese classical dance by fostering cultural exchange, making this ancient Chinese culture renowned throughout the world and promoting authentic traditional dance that is pure goodness, and pure beauty.

As the world only international professional Chinese dance competition, the previous two competitions attracted nearly 200 contestants from more than 10 countries and regions. The total amount of prize money awarded amounted to US$120,000. Thousands of audience members watched the Semi-Finals and Finals and responded enthusiastically.

The competition has four divisions: Male and Female Adult, Male and Female Junior. Contestants must perform a dance routine and a required set of movements. Each division will select 1 contestant for a Gold Award, US$10,000; 1 for a Silver Award, US$3,000, 2 for a  Bronze Award, US$1,000, and 3 for Honorable Mentions.

The Competition Committee said that the competition not only provides a stage for artists of classical Chinese dance all over the world, but also provide a precious opportunity for experience exchanging. The committee welcomes more skilled dance artists to join the competition to realize the mission, share their talents, exchange and deepen their understanding of Classical Chinese dance, and learn and enhance the skills and realm of dance.

World renowned artists from Shen Yun Performing Arts will provide a special performance for audience members after the awards ceremony. Shen Yun has performed in most major cities around the world. Their performances have roused huge responses and earned praises and awards from elites of the artistic industry, celebrities, and members of governments worldwide. Shen Yun has become a first-class and world-renowned brand of art. When promoting orthodox culture, Shen Yun starts a tide of Chinese dance.

June 19th (Friday): Preliminaries
June 20th (Saturday): Semi-finals
June 21st (Sunday): Finals, Divine Performing Arts show & Award Ceremony
