One of the most impressive sights you cannot find anywhere else in the world is Mount Rushmore in the Black Hills in South Dakota. This American monument contribute to four US presidents who shaped the US history.
Gutzon Borglum was the architect of Mount Rushmore. He was born at Danish emigrants in Wester state of Idaho.
In 1925, the sculptor moved to Texas to work on the monument. He completed the model in 1925, but due to lack of funds it was not cast until 1940.
Mount Rushmore National Memorial is host to almost three million visitors a year from across the country and around the world.
