Adam Graves and Christian Burzynski were fishing in Fremont, Wis., when their hook got snagged at the bottom of Wolf River.
When they reeled it in, they saw a six-pack of Budweiser cans, at least decades old.
“It just got snagged on the bottom, and we thought it was a rock or a log or something like that; it happens all the time, and truth be told we just pulled it up and it ended up being beer,” Graves told WDJT.

Graves said Budweiser told them the beer cans were at least 50 years old, although the company hasn’t issued an official statement.
“They were empty unfortunately, I don’t know how good they would’ve tasted anyways. They would’ve been cold still, I’m guessing,” Graves said.
Large sections of the cans had rusted away and they were filled with sand.
“We were just really surprised. It’s not every day you find something like that hooked onto your line. It’s just something to tell the family and tell friends,” Graves told WDJT.
The beer appears to have been consumed by its original owners, as the top of the cans were popped off.
Graves said he'll either keep the cans or send them to the Anheuser-Busch brewing company as a museum item.
