Among them was Alfredo Estéfano, a show producer and artistic booking agent, who described the performance as truly extraordinary.
“This is a unique and incredible spectacle—one that people should not miss, not only for its cultural value but also to experience this 5,000-year-old art.”
Reflecting on one of the dance pieces that conveyed the principle of cause and effect, Mr. Estéfano emphasized the importance of moral values in society.
“I saw the segment about karma—‘You Reap What You Sow.’ That is very important,” he said. “Humility, kindness, and respect are what matter most. A person can be a king or an emperor, or simply a commoner, but the kindness of a ruler can uplift a people, and the goodness of an ordinary person can inspire us to move forward and build a better world.”
He also spoke about the broader cultural and spiritual dimensions presented on stage, noting that the performance goes far beyond dance alone.
“I found the show fascinating—truly incredible. It not only presents the performance itself, but also conveys faith, the divine, and the wisdom of China’s 5,000-year-old civilization. It allows the world to understand not only Falun Dafa, but also the origins of classical Chinese dance. It is fascinating!”
Mr. Estéfano said he was deeply moved by Shen Yun’s bringing attention to the Chinese Communist Party’s persecution of Falun Dafa practitioners, noting that its powerful themes of perseverance and faith in the face of adversity deepened his admiration for both Falun Dafa and Shen Yun.
“The message is one of hope, faith, and perseverance. I am aware of the history—of so many years of persecution, mistreatment, and suffering. Even so, the message remains one of hope for tomorrow, of faith, and of continuing to strive for a better world. Transforming the world through art is what we need. Without art, we cannot live. That is what Falun Dafa and Shen Yun mean to me.”
