“I think first, it’s extremely beautiful. It reminds me of why I chose to study China. Because you see the great beauty of Chinese culture. ... This is the authentic treasure that Chinese civilization contains—you also see the astonishing talent of all the performers.”

“This is incredibly good. It is world-standard, these people can do anything.”

“I mean I know all about the persecution of Falun Gong. I think that Westerners think of China as being a beautiful and refined place, a gentle place, a peaceful place, a place of deep wisdom and learning. Today, none of that is true. But that is Chinese history. ... I know that musicians and dancers from China sneak over to Taiwan to watch it there. This is a tribute to the fact that real culture and real spirituality defeats false, counterfeit culture and empty despotism. That’s what I would say.”

“I think it’s almost a miracle to me that there are five groups performing all over the world, except in Beijing. But I promise you, if you did a tour of China, which someday you will be able to do, I don’t know if I’m going to live to see it, that the people would pack in, and they would cheer.”

“This demonstrates, in some sense, the unity of the universe and the unity of truth—it’s a great privilege to come.”
