Shen Yun Portrays Values That Are Good for All People, Says Doctor

“It was very colorful. It was interesting. I’m learning about some of the [Chinese] traditions and the folklore.”

“I think the talent of the performers [impressed me the most]. They were very talented. Obviously they are top-notch and it was overall very enjoyable. I enjoyed the music. I enjoyed the performance.”

“[Regarding the spiritual essence of traditional Chinese culture presented by the performance,] I thought that it was very interesting. I’m Roman Catholic myself. I thought that there were some similarities in some of the presentations. I think we’re in good company. It looks like many of our values are shared across the world. We share some kinship there in our beliefs.”

“[On the mission of Shen Yun Performing Arts to revive the traditional culture of China,] I think it’s important to highlight some of the traditions that have come from China, and perhaps in the Western world we’re not aware of this. This is a very interesting way of increasing awareness of that. I think they did a good job.”

“Absolutely. They [the values from traditional culture] are as valid in the past as they are now, even more so now. I think that came across in the performance.”

“I enjoyed the performers tremendously and I think they should continue to come forward with these type of shows. I think it’s good for all of us.”
