Shen Yun Performing Arts Fills Birmingham’s ICC With Traditional Culture
Mark Risopta, a doctor: Shen Yun “It's very good, it's very enlightening really. We've not seen anything like this before. It's very expressive isn't it. I love the way it tells the story. And the screen—the interaction between the animation and the dancers is very, very clever.” Marina Hawkley: “It's amazing the Chinese, amazing culture, and the culture is so different to what we have here, so it's interesting to see from the different point as dancing.” (Shao Ying/Epoch Times)

Shen Yun Performing Arts World Company brought to life legends and heroes from China’s long and rich history, and introduced them to the city of Birmingham through its two full house performances at the International Convention Centre (ICC), on April 14 and 15.

The ICC is the United Kingdom’s premier purpose built convention centre. Its design and construction had a significant impact on the industrial city of Birmingham, according to the centre’s website, so a fitting place for Shen Yun to perform during its 2014 World Tour.

Established in 2006, New York-based Shen Yun revives 5,000 years of Chinese civilization through the performing arts.

Here are some audience members’ photos and comments.
