WASHINGTON—Attorneys Craig Moore and Anne-Marie Roy both described Shen Yun Performing Arts as “exquisite.” The evening of Chinese classical dance and music was hosted by Washington’s Kennedy Center Opera House on Jan. 23.
“My partner surprised me with the tickets for the Shen Yun show and I find it’s just been an incredible experience tonight,” Ms. Roy said.
“Words really defy what kind of experience it is. I think it’s glorious … the dancing and the singing have been exquisite,” she added.
“Through the universal language of music and dance, Shen Yun weaves a wondrous tapestry of heavenly realms, ancient legends, and modern heroic tales, taking you on a journey through 5,000 years of Chinese culture. Its stunning beauty and tremendous energy leave audiences uplifted and inspired,” according to Shen Yun’s website.
Mr. Moore was as awed as Ms. Roy and said, “I think exquisite was the word I was going to use for the show.”
“I have a fascination with Chinese history, more recently with Chinese culture, and it’s just beautiful. Everything about this show is just beautiful.”
“This show is very moving, it’s so elegant and the dancers are so skilled, especially the women, said Ms. Roy.
“The men seem so powerful and strong, and the women are so graceful. They’re so ethereal. I’m so moved by that, I just—I wish I could do that, but I can’t!”
She added, “I’m really pleasantly surprised and I’ve had a smile on my face the whole time.”
