Ms. Pamela Hiley, Norway’s first professional tai chi and qigong instructor, attended Shen Yun’s premiere show in Oslo at Folketeatret on Saturday, April 10.

”The dances are very strong dances, very professional,” Ms. Hiley said after watching the show. “It’s inspiring to see colors and the beautiful costumes.”

In addition to her accomplishments as one of Europe’s top tai chi and qigong instructors, Ms. Hiley has also been recognized for her initiatives as a peace advocate. She has been titled “Ambassador for Peace” by the Universal Peace Federation and was selected as one of the Top 10 International Men and Women in Norway in 2006.

Some of Ms. Hiley’s initiatives include creating the Peace Point Foundation and taking part in the Global Peace Initiative of Women Religious and Spiritual Leaders conference at the U.N. in Geneva.

She has also established the Building Trust Peace Conference for the Middle East at the Nobel Peace Institute in Oslo and founded the Business Council for Peace at the Nobel Peace Institute.

What impressed Ms. Hiley the most in the show, she said, was how organized the dances were. “That’s quite a strong impression,” she said.

‘It is so perfect’

Iris Aslaksen, a consultant residing in Oslo, enjoyed “every second” of Shen Yun after watching it on Saturday evening. “It is fantastic! It is so colorful and so different,” she said.

“It is so perfect, it is so organized, it is so coordinated! Everybody is in the same movement.”

Commenting on the dance Drummers of the Northwest, Ms. Aslaksen said it was very powerful, and the beat of the drums gave her “good energy.” “I enjoyed it very much,” she said.

Shen Yun Performing Arts Touring Company will be holding one more show in Oslo on Sunday April 11.
